Arrival in Arusha
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), where our Tazama representative greets you and transfers you to your hotel in Arusha. Settle in, relax, and attend an evening briefing with your mountain guide to go over gear and details for the climb.

After breakfast, drive to Arusha National Park and register at Momella Gate. The hike begins through lush forest, often with sightings of giraffes, buffalo, and monkeys along the way. An armed ranger accompanies your group for safety. Reach Miriakamba Hut by late afternoon for hot dinner and rest.

Today’s trail is steeper, following the ridge line with panoramic views of Meru Crater and the Ash Cone. Arrive at Saddle Hut for lunch, and in the evening, take an optional acclimatization hike to Little Meru (3,820 m) for sunset. Early dinner and early bed before summit day.

Begin around midnight for the summit push. Hike past Rhino Point (3,800 m) and Cobra Point (4,350 m) to reach Socialist Peak at sunrise. The sight of Mount Kilimanjaro glowing across the plains is unforgettable.After photos and celebration, descend to Saddle Hut for brunch, then continue to Momella Gate. Your driver will be waiting to transfer you back to Arusha.
