Today, the safari adventure begins in earnest with a drive to Tarangire National Park, a landscape defined by towering baobab trees and a remarkable population of elephants. We’ll stop for a delightful picnic lunch by the river, where animals gather to drink. You'll spend the night at a secluded safari camp, falling asleep to the sounds of the African bush.

Rise early for another day of exploration in Tarangire. Your Tazama guide will take you off the beaten path to discover more of the park's diverse habitats. With the morning light offering perfect photo opportunities, you will continue your search for wildlife. After an exhilarating day, we’ll take a scenic drive to the lush highlands of Karatu, where you'll be greeted by the tranquility of your new lodge, a perfect place to rest and recharge.

Today is a momentous day. After an early breakfast, you will journey to and descend into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a breathtaking natural wonder. This self-contained ecosystem is home to an incredible density of wildlife. You will spend the day on the crater floor, experiencing a world where animals roam freely, surrounded by a place of immense natural beauty. A picnic lunch by a hippo pool adds to the magic. As the sun begins to set, you will ascend the crater rim and return to your lodge.

After breakfast, begin the scenic drive to Central Serengeti (approx. 4–5 hours with wildlife stops along the way). Enjoy a game drive en route as you enter the heart of Serengeti. Check in to your lodge and relax as the sun sets over the plains.

Explore the rolling plains of Central Serengeti, rich in lions, elephants, giraffes, and (in April–May) the migrating herds of wildebeest and zebra. Your guide will tailor the day to your comfort, with stops for coffee, lunch, and wildlife photography.

Or, for an extra $559 per person, take to the skies at sunrise on a hot air balloon safari – a breathtaking experience as you float silently above the savannah while wildlife stirs below. After landing, enjoy a champagne breakfast in the bush before continuing your day at a gentler pace.

After a relaxed breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the Seronera Airstrip. Here, you will board a small plane for a breathtaking scenic flight over the Serengeti's plains, bound for the spice island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport (ZNZ), a new friendly face will greet you and transfer you to your beach hotel in the tranquil village of Jambiani. The rest of the day is yours to unwind, walk on the soft, white-sand beach, and let the gentle rhythm of the Indian Ocean wash over you.

Your only agenda today is to begin your relaxation and soak in the beauty of your surroundings. After your journey, settle into your beachfront haven and feel the soft white sand between your toes. The stunning turquoise waters of Jambiani are yours to swim in, or you can simply relax by the pool with a cold drink in hand, breathing in the peaceful island breeze.

This second day is yours to continue the celebration of your epic journey. You might choose to snorkel the vibrant coral reefs, explore the rhythms of the local Jambiani town, or simply find your perfect spot on the beach to reflect on your adventures.
